Staying Ahead Of Debts
More and more people are finding themselves facing a mountain of debts these days due to the high costs of living, building, investing and maintenance of investment properties. There is no shame in admitting that you have incurred debts that you had not anticipated or that you simply cannot restructure into a more manageable amount. This is beginning to becoming the way things are working. The old saying says that it takes money to make money; and many businesspeople do not realise just how much money it really does take; or how long it takes to see the first profits. This is where the finance partners are able to come to the rescue.
Most clients have a great deal of money (hundreds of thousands, millions or billions in currency) and also have a great many properties in their investment portfolio. Yet this does not eliminate the possibility of finding themselves deep in debt. Many people outside of this line of work do not understand the intricacies of the purchasing, holding, sale and taxation of real estate property holdings. Those working in the real estate and financial industries are held to a far greater level of responsibility. Being able to advise and guide investors and clients as to what they can do to structure and/or re-structure their debt load to take advantage of specific tax breaks and shelters is of great help to your clients.
Having the best possible relationships with the world’s leading banks, mortgage lenders and other financial entities allows you to provide the most flexible lending options and opportunities to your clients. There are so many different aspects that you and your colleagues need to be aware of to keep yourselves at the top of the ladder and better able to keep your clients up-to-date about financial opportunities that are available to them. Even the most educated clients with up-to-the-minute financial or market information will not always be “in the loop” about every little possibility available to the general public and investors. This is the distinct advantage that you and the other agents in this field; privileged access to very sensitive financial and (client’s) personal information. This is what fiduciary responsibility is.
Being able to easily and knowledgeably structure and/or re-structure is not the easiest thing in the world if you are missing even one vital piece of information. The fact of the matter here is that you must have every vital piece of financial information from your client as it relates to their investments and debts. Another vital section of information that you need to be up-to-date on are the current tax laws in your locality and nationally. Investment, sales, holding and inheritance taxes are a major headache for any wealthy individual, business or corporation. Knowing exactly what you are doing in this arena (having the proper knowledge and training) and the proper respect for your client’s confidentiality allows you to help them keep their debt to a manageable level while keeping them in the investment game.
