How To Apply Permanent Resident In Singapore
In order to know how to apply Singapore permanent resident, you have to know all that you are required to present to be approved. They may be school certificates, birth certificates, or the proof that you have a relationship in Singapore. When you have applied for permanent residency, you will be required to wait at least for 6 months before being given the letter that approves or rejects your application. If you wait for more than 6 months you can call the ICA to ask what is happening with your application.
Normally the answer is sent to you by the mail. If you have been approved, it does not mean that you are automatically a PR, since you still have to pass through the final stage. When you get a letter of approval it comes with the list of medical checkups you have to be tested, the medical report should be taken back within 30 days with the letter of approval in order to finalize you application. When you go to ICA with your letter of approval then you have to take your work pass since it has to be changed into a permanent resident card. When you get the permanent resident card, you will begin to enjoy the advantages of becoming a permanent resident in Singapore. The best benefit enjoyed is to be in Singapore without a need to buy visas, or to buy for the entry visa when you have to go out of Singapore. If you become a permanent resident, you children are considered before others in public schools. You will also be able to contribute in Central provident fund. You have also to let your employer know about your new status, since he will also have to contribute in the CPF for you.
