Singapore Property Market
At present, the real estate market in Singapore is extremely popular and very much in demand. Perhaps one of the reasons why the property market in Singapore is doing really well is because of the fact that foreign individuals are now allowed to purchase real estate properties in Singapore. The rules that the government once imposed on the foreigners for buying properties in this nation has changed and this has lead to the increase in foreign investment in Singaporean properties. Of course, the locals are also buying and selling properties and this is also one of the reasons why the property market in Singapore is considered to be very much in demand at the moment.
I don’t know whether you are aware or not but all the properties that are sold in the Singapore real estate market are on the basis of freehold or leasehold agreement or tenure. Through the rules imposed by the Singaporean government is not as strict as it used to be but there are still certain requirements that a buyer will have to meet if he wants to buy a property in this country.
However, before we proceed further it is important for us to discuss what a freehold and a leasehold tenure is. A freehold property is one where a buyer will be allowed to stay and own the property forever. On the other hand, a leasehold property is one where the buyer will possess the property for a certain number of years (maybe even till the death of the buyer) and then after the end of the tenure the title of the property will be given to the state.
If you are an expat or a foreign individual who is planning to move to Singapore then you must be considering buying a property in this country. For this purpose, you need to have some idea about the Singapore property market and there is no better way to know about the market conditions than through the real estate agent. So before you go and start looking for properties in Singapore, it is important that you hire the services of an agent who would help you with your real estate transaction. After all, you are new to the country and you may not have much knowledge about the market conditions and the different properties in Singapore. So with the help of an agent, your work can become easier and you will be able to find the property that would be liked by you and your family.
You do not have to be a foreigner to hire the services of a real estate agent because even a resident of Singapore should employ the services of an agent to make the real estate transaction go smoothly and quickly. An agent will also help you with your real estate needs and you can be sure that you can find a good property in Singapore with the help of a good and trustworthy real estate agent.
To conclude, I would say that there is no one better to tell you about the Singapore real estate market than a real estate agent.
