Singapore Properties for Rent
Singapore is a medley of various properties. The types of property which a customer wishes to rent vary from public housing to landed properties. There are also private apartments and commercial buildings. These properties are categorized based on their location and the prices vary on the type of furnishing and the nature of the usage.
The commercial buildings are mainly used by corporate companies and banks. The Raffles place in Downtown is a centre of commerce because of the architectural marvels engineered here. There are three main tall buildings present here which gross about 250 Meters. These are mainly dominated by banks and corporate organizations which rent out area or lease them out. There are over three thousand commercial properties available for rent. The properties are generally priced based on their nearness to bus stop and the space available for factory, warehouse, office, shop, shop house and the corporate outlook of the area.
The landed properties include bungalow, semi-detach house, intermediate terrace, corner terrace, and cluster houses, black & white houses. These are generally bought by affluent people. A bungalow is the most expensive one. Semi-detached houses are those which are adjacent to the main building. There are also buildings with terrace in the middle. There is a demand for such properties in the market. The other buildings are also sought after by prospective buyers. The cost of the property is based on the area of the property, furnishing provided in the building, the presence of orchards or gardens, type of architecture and finally the location of the property. A location in the middle of the city would fetch greater benefits. There are currently around six hundred and thirty such landed properties which are available for rent.
The HDB apartments are comprised of the following: 1-5 rooms’ flats, executive apartment, and executive maisonette, multi-generation and jumbo flat. The HDB apartments are for public housing. They are comparatively cheaper because of the demand and the furnishing. The price of these buildings varies from $1500 to around $4000 depending on the furnishing, area of property and finally the location of the building. A location closer to the city or in the centre of the city would fetch more rent, but it would help in cutting down the unnecessary commuting costs. There are about two hundred and ninety such buildings which are available for rent.
The private apartments are those which are comparatively cheaper than a landed property, but much expensive than other housings. They are the most sought after buildings and there are over five thousand four hundred such buildings catering to the renting needs of the customers. These apartments are of the following types: condominium, apartment (walk up / low rise / high rise), town house, duplex, shop house, executive condominium, HUDC flats. The costs of the buildings depend mainly on the location, area under the property, furnishing and the presence of some landmark adjacent to it. In case of schools or office places the cost of the apartments nearby are higher. The price generally ranges from $4000 to $50000 based on the above mentioned features.
